Absorption, Dec-March 2017

Jessica Boulton isa final year student Fashion Textiles student at London Met. I specialise in Fashion Knitwear and aim for this to be a part of my future, working under a fashion brand or part of a studio. Interior knit also very much appeals to me and is something that I would like to experiment with and bring into my designs.

“My project results from high tech and modern architecture, in which I was inspired by Duggan Morris’s approach who wanted to celebrate Grade II listed structures while looking to the future with modern interventions. My knit design entails the culture of London through my chosen design route, and celebrates the use of architecture in society. The title of Absorption links through to me taking in this and injecting it into my knit.”
