Jab Jab

SUZETTE CODNERPROU, 2018

Inspired by the ‘Jab-Jab’ carnival of art, historically the from Caribbean, the word ‘jab’ has its roots in the Spanish word ‘diable’ meaning devil. Transfer it to the taste of Joshui brand though patterns. Silhouettes range from close-fitting to the oversized & geometric. I combined this with the type of repetitive structures one expects could only be produced by hand, the aim to create a contemporary collection developed from a crochet technique, inspired by Pop Art and celebrities.
