Denise’s work is influenced by her interest in the built environment and the effects of light and shadow.
“We inhabit space, we react to our surrounding and our occupation changes according to light, time, a physical demands. In my work I use the physical space I occupy to build new responses, shadows create new environments, new imagined lines of desire are created within existing thoroughfares and vistas. Future developments may include sensory influences such as sound, as well as interactive spatial environments.”
